This board is one of my favorite easy yet impressive appetizers to serve guests in any season.
Ingredients
- Cheeses: 100 g Brie, sliced, 100 g aged Cheddar, cubed, 100 g blue cheese, crumbled
- Charcuterie (optional for vegetarians): 80 g prosciutto, 80 g salami, sliced
- Fresh Fruits: 1 cup red grapes, washed, 1 pear, thinly sliced, 1 apple, thinly sliced, 1/2 cup dried apricots
- Accompaniments: 1/4 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans), 1/4 cup olives (green or black), 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp fig jam
- Breads & Crackers: 1 small baguette, sliced, 1 cup assorted crackers
Instructions
- Arrange cheeses:
- Arrange the cheeses on a large board or platter, spacing them evenly.
- Arrange charcuterie:
- Fold and arrange the charcuterie slices around the cheeses.
- Add fruits:
- Nestle the fresh fruits and dried apricots between the cheese and meat.
- Scatter nuts and olives:
- Scatter mixed nuts and olives around the board for texture and flavor.
- Place condiments:
- Place small bowls or ramekins on the board for honey and fig jam.
- Add breads and crackers:
- Add sliced baguette and an assortment of crackers in available spaces.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme) for a decorative touch, if desired.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
